Is the gym office open 24/7?

24 hour keycard access is available to all members with a current/active gym membership.


However, it is important to note:

I'm just visiting/passing through the area - Can I do a drop-in visit?

Absolutely! Drop-in visits are available. Set up an account with our GymMaster app, pay for a drop in and presto, time to exercise. 


Please note - the payment goes through when you open the gym door - it will charge you a second time if you exit and re-enter.

What measures are in place to keep me safe at the gym?


 

  • We have Purell hand sanitizer dispensers on both levels of our facility, and at both entrances. All members are encouraged to use hand sanitizer upon entering the gym.
     
  • Bottles of equipment cleaning spray are conveniently located in all areas of our gym. Additional information about our cleaning product can be found in the question below ↓
     
  • We have professional cleaners who come in to ensure that same standard is upheld at all times.
     
  • All surfaces and fixtures in our washrooms, change room, and shower are thoroughly cleaned and treated with a disinfecting solution on a daily basis.
     
  • Our membership system records the time, date, and name of every member (and visitor) who comes in for a workout at Golden's Gym. You can rest assured that we always know who is on site.
     
  • Golden's Gym has high-definition 24/7 security monitoring in place to ensure that our members and staff are safe at all times.


 

What kind of product is used for cleaning the gym equipment?

We care about our members' health, but we also care about protecting the beautiful environment around us. That's why we searched high and low to find the ultimate "unicorn" of cleaning sprays that checked every box. We are proud to say that our equipment cleaning spray is a scent-free, skin-safe, hospital grade, ECOLOGO certified, and Health-Canada approved cleaning solution. ♥

 

 

I think I left my AirPods / Headphones / Watch / Water Bottle / etc at the gym - What do I do?

This is definitely the most common question we encounter day to day.

 

We do not have any staff on-site regularly. Our cleaning crew will gather any found items in our lost and found box. 


If you believe you have left something behind at the gym, please return to the gym and follow these steps / retrace the areas you were in BEFORE asking our staff to look for you. (***See below for more information)

 

  • Come in to the gym and check the Lost & Found box - If your item was left here, there's a very good chance it's in there!

 

If you have misplaced an electronic device (headphones/AirPods, smart watch, speaker, etc), Please review these steps to help you locate it: 

 

  • If you are using iOS (iPhone), you can open the Find My app to locate your AirPods, Apple Watch, etc. This works even better if you are closer to them, as your phone will automatically connect to your device if you are within Bluetooth range.

 

  • If you have misplaced any other wireless/Bluetooth device (or are unable to locate your AirPods through "Find My"), we recommend downloading the Wunderfind app. It's free on the App Store, and is available for iOS & Android devices.
    • Make sure you are within Bluetooth range of where you last remember using your AirPods (or other headphones/device that you're looking for).
    • Open the app, and select your lost device from the list that appears.
    • If your device is nearby, Wunderfind will show a "heat map" that looks like a circle.
    • Move around (slowly!), and watch for the circle size (and % of proximity) to increase.
      • If the % goes up, you're getting closer! Keep moving slowly in that direction.
      • Once you've reached 90% or higher, your stuff should be right next to you! ☻
         
    • If Wunderfind cannot locate your device in your immediate area, we recommend trying this process again around your car, at home, near your gym bag, laundry basket, or anywhere you may have stopped after you left the gym.
      9 out of 10 times, this is where your lost item will turn up!

      ► Even if you've already looked once -
      Look again!
      It's amazing how easy it is to miss something on the first pass - especially when we're frantically searching for it. Take a deep breath, and check all the obvious places again - you'll be surprised how often it was right there all along.

 

 

Can I bring a friend with me to the gym?

Yes! Friends and family are absolutely welcome to purchase a drop-in, or short term pass during their stay in Golden. Please get in touch with us if they are unable to sign up or pick up their passes during our regular office hours, and we will do our best to accommodate.


ALL VISITORS/ DROP-INS MUST BE CLEARED IN ADVANCE WITH GYM MANAGEMENT.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

 

Is there a capacity limit for how many people can be in the gym at once?

We are happy to announce that as of July 1, 2021, BC Public Health has lifted the capacity limits for gyms.


HOWEVER - IN ORDER TO AVOID CROWDING IN THE GYM, WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE LIMIT YOUR WORKOUTS TO 1 HOUR DURING PEAK* TIMES.


*Our peak (busiest) times are from 3-6 PM on weekdays, and 11-2 PM on weekends. If possible, we suggest that you plan your workout outside of peak times to enjoy a less busy gym space. You might even be lucky enough to have the whole place to yourself!

 

 

Am I required to show proof of vaccination?

As of April 2022, BC Public Health has removed the requirement to show proof of vaccination in order to access fitness facilities.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds will be considered within 14 days of purchase, with a proof of purchase. 


All refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 


As of October 2024 we no longer sell supplements, merch, or equipment.
